Rainer Judd, Co-President of Judd Foundation, in conversation with Ellie Meyer, Catalogue Raisonné Research Manager at Judd Foundation and former studio assistant to Donald Judd. The conversation explores Judd’s writing as a process and primary part of his daily life and artistic practice. The talk includes a reading of selections from Donald Judd Writings and a discussion on the thematics visited by Judd throughout the text including environment, space, history, and time.
This talk is part of the public programs in New York and Marfa, Texas presented by Judd Foundation and David Zwirner Books to coincide with the release of Donald Judd Writings. All events are free and open to the public.

Donald Judd Writings
Donald Judd Writings presents a new collection of Judd’s writings spanning from 1958 to 1993. This publication includes Judd’s most well-known essays, such as “Specific Objects” and “Complaints I and II,” as well as little-known essays previously published in limited editions. Moreover, to provide readers with the context and breadth of his life’s work and thinking, this new collection includes three unpublished college essays and hundreds of never-before-seen notes, an important and unknown part of Judd’s writing practice.
