Reading Sessions

April 17
Reading Sessions
New York, Marfa

A new series of monthly Reading Sessions in both New York and Marfa. During his lifetime Donald Judd collected more than thirteen thousand volumes, housed today in libraries in both locations.

Following the artist’s practice, these 90-minute sessions bring the practice of reading and contemplation back into Judd’s spaces.

Each session takes place on one floor of 101 Spring Street and within various spaces at La Mansana/The Block. Judd Foundation asks that visitors please bring their own books and supplies. Please note that the books in the Donald Judd Library collection are not available for browsing or public use. Cushions and folding chairs will be provided for visitors.

Tickets for Reading Sessions can be purchased through our New York calendar and our Marfa calendar. Explore the interactive Donald Judd Library tool here.
