Judd Foundation is pleased to share the exhibition of works by Donald Judd at Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, on view April 6 through June 15, 2019 at the Paris Marais location. Curated by Flavin Judd, Artistic Director of Judd Foundation, the exhibition marks the first solo presentation of Judd’s work in three dimensions in France in 18 years.
With a focus on freestanding floor works and wall-based works, the exhibition presents a diverse overview of Judd’s distinctive use of materials including plywood, aluminum and acrylic sheets. The works, spanning three decades from 1963 to 1993, reveal a continuing investigation into the nature of space, form and material, with a particular emphasis on color.
A selection of monumental works by Donald Judd are concurrently on view at Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac Pantin until April 27, 2019, as part of the exhibition Monumental Minimal.
