Designer Jim Walrod in conversation with Rob Beyer, Board Treasurer of Judd Foundation. The two discuss the development of Donald Judd’s furniture within the context of Judd’s own furniture and design collection. Judd was an avid collector of well-designed objects, amassing a collection both at 101 Spring Street and his properties in Marfa, Texas which include pieces by Alvar Aalto, Gerrit Rietveld, Gustav Stickley, and Rudolph Schindler.
This talk is part of the It’s Hard to Find a Good Lamp series of public programs in New York and Marfa, Texas that will examine Donald Judd’s approach to furniture and design. All events are free and open to the public.
